On the day of September 11th, 2001, I was in my second grade class. When they found out, our teachers told us what had happened. Most of the class had no idea what it all meant. I didn’t completely understand what had happened until about 5th grade. My initial thoughts were just that there was an accident in New York, and people were hurt. At that point I didn’t know that much about the outside world, and what goes on. I watched T.V. when I got home, and understood a little better what went on, but still was missing the whole point. School that day, and the next went by pretty slow. Now I completely understand about it, and have completely different thoughts. I just never realized how bad it really was. Now that I know everything that happened, it is a bigger deal.
