I decided to blog my mom’s work. It is called Constitution State Corporate Federal Credit Union. I am not really sure what she does there, because she probably told me and I forgot=]. So, as you can guess, I asked them what they do at their work. I have gotten a response:
I work for Constitution Corporate Federal Credit Union here in
Wallingford. We are a “clearinghouse bank” for Credit Unions. What that means is that we take in their deposits, verify them and send all their checks or files of their checks onto the Federal Reserve so that they can get their money faster. On top of that we handle their foreign items, deposits of their savings bonds, return items, stop payments, photo requests, and monthly provide them with statements. Our company also offers them many other services such as wiring money for them, investments, ACH, and also offer all their members accounts on line so that the customers can access their account when they need to. We have credit unions in CT, VA, MI, and MA. We have about 65 people who work for us. Our main office is the one here in Wallingford and we also have another office in
Auburn, MA and our website designers have offices in various states as well.
