I would have to say that my dad is the most important thing to me. He has always been there for me and always helps me out. He taught me everything that I know about in football. He inspired me to play and try hard even though I wasn’t very good in the beginning, but now he has helped me to become a very good player. He always takes me to places I have to go, and makes time for all the activities that I have going on. Without him I don’t know what I would do because he is great and I rely on him for so much support and help. He is definitely the most important thing that I could not do without.

1. What is the best thing about living where you live?
The best thing about where I live is that it is a very nice and safe town, with a low rate of crime. There is always something to do too. We have a couple of parks and a community pool too. That is why it’s a good place to live.

2.Tell us why your school is unique?
My school is definitely unique. We are one of the few schools in America that still had a wood-working class and a clock-making class. I think it is the last year for it though, which is unfortunate to future students because I liked those classes. Also, we use technology frequently in classes like metal class and especially in Social Studies. That is what is unique about our school.

There are many reasons for starting to use technology at younger and younger ages. Our teachers are preparing us for our rapidly advancing world. Many businesses are starting to send work across the seas to other countries that have people who will do it for less money than workers in America. Starting in the past couple of years, classes around the world have been using more and more technology in classrooms. They still teach kids what they need to know like reading, writing, and other communication skills as well as the regular math, history, and science. Now that more classes are being taught using technology, kids will be ready for what jobs lay ahead of them, because by the time someone like me is getting a full-time job, technology will have dramatically advanced. Some jobs won’t even exist that I was planning on doing when I start high school!

I think this is a very important part of a student’s education, but not the most important. Learning how to communicate with people in ways other than technology would be something to learn first. Technology is the easier, faster way, but sometimes you have to use longer ways, which everyone should know how to do. There is no technology that is 100% guaranteed to work when you need it. It is also important because your job opportunities will be greater if you know how to use machines and computers compared to people who just learned the basics of school. You will be more likely to be hired for your job. Teaching this at school is very important for that edge over someone else looking for the same job. These skills are needed to keep up with the rest of the world or else you could end up being left behind. You will need to know how to work machines in probably every job eventually. The business you are probably won’t have the time or money to teach you how to work their machines and you could be replaced with someone more experienced.

I think that everyone is watching and reading everything we do. If we try to get a job, our employer will look at what we did on our blogs and wiki’s to see if we would be a good worker for them. What we are writing now will stay with us for the rest of our lives because anyone can see what we did at anytime. People are using students like me to test to see how we work at young ages with technology, and how it could positively or negatively affect our future. We are the first generation of this and our futures will depend on this knowledge that we are being tested with. If all goes well, more and more schools across the world will start using technology and soon our planet will be rapidly expanding in technology and communications. Anything and everything we do is being watched and scrutinized, and then changed for the next subjects.

High School

High school is a few months away. Many people have different feelings about it like fear or eagerness. I definitely am one of the people who is excited for high school. I don’t think I have anything to fear really, because I learned from 5th to 6th grade that there is nothing to be afraid of. I am hoping that I do good in my honors class, and figuring out where to go, but I think I’ll get the hang of it. I think that I have to step up how how hard I work, becaue there are more classes, more work, and I will be doing some sports. I think all together high school is a pretty big change for most people, but I think I will handle it well.

Saying Martin Luther King earned this holiday is an understatement. He was a great man and he helped African-Americans to their freedom. He said what was on his mind and did what he thought was right, which got him put in jail for a short period of time. Martin Luther King died for what he believed was right, which is why he recieved this holiday. His dream did come true, and he was the reason for it. Martin Luther King was a great leader of the civil rights movement, and helped create a better world for all African-American people. This holiday symbolizes everything that he did, and all the sacrifices he made for others. That is what I think of this holiday.

I think that Barack Obama has a really good chance of be elected in November. Everyone I know likes him and most want to vote for him. The Republicans aren’t doing very good in the race for president as I have read, so this only helps what I think. John Edwards is falling behind, so Barack’s only true competition is Hillary Clinton. Most people I know do not like her. Barack Obama is a very smart person, and from what I’ve watched and read about him, he seems like the best candidate.

Healthcare:
Dem.- Government provides healthcare to anyone
Rep.-Citizens can supply their own healthcare

Gay Rights:
Dem.- Marry anyone you want
Rep.- Marriage should only be with a man and women

Military:
Dem.- Save money by cutting their spendings
Rep.-Increase their spendings

Gun Control:
Dem.- Anyone can have a gun
Rep.- People should not have guns becuase they can be too dangerous

Abortion:
Dem.- Yes to abortion
Rep. Should be illegal and restricted

Prayer in School:
Dem.- Is a violation to the Church and State
Rep.- A religious right prayer whenever

Taxes:
Dem.- Increase for wealthy, give money to public programs
Rep.- Cut for everyone to help our economy

I think this video is very funny. It shows what people might have done a long time ago, when they had new technology. It's like when we got computers, because many people didn't know how to use them. It's showing how through the years, people didn't understand newer technology, and that it is still happening today. It is based on a long time ago when people got books and thought of them as a great technology, and they didn't understand anything about them. Then when computers were invented people thought of them in the same way, and didn't understand how to use them. Way back then, they could've treated books and learning how to use them in the same way we treated computers when we first invented them. It's almost mocking us, when we recieved that new technology.

I think my brother has been a big influence to me. He is someone I always look up to and go to for help. He is a big reason why i got into football, because he plays,too, and I wanted to do everything he did. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have played football, and I would’ve been missing out on a lot. He is also helping me learn an instrument, which is really cool. I think that my brother has had the biggest influence on my life, and it was in a good way.
